Controlled flow. High-fidelity models. Repeatable practice

Revolutionising microsurgical training and simulation
The Rheos Platform
Rheos Systems builds modular microperfusion training systems to make high-fidelity microsurgical practice easier to access—anywhere. Microsurgery is a skill like any other: it improves through structured repetition under realistic conditions. Our mission is to broaden access to surgical education globally, including training initiatives in under-resourced settings, while reducing dependence on live animal use.

Our platform is led by the RMS (Rheos Microperfusion System), available in RMS Core and RMS Pro configurations. RMS is a compact, modular system built from durable 3D-printed components, designed to be maintainable, repairable, and upgradeable over time. Flow is fully adjustable, allowing everything from low, physiological circulation to higher-stress conditions—so you can tailor the session to basic technique, endurance practice, or stress-testing anastomoses.

The Rheos Microperfusion System perfuses biological tissue models to recreate lifelike handling and behaviour under flow during vessel preparation and anastomosis. The same system adapts to synthetic vessels for clean, repeatable practice, giving you a flexible setup that supports a wider range of microsurgical exercises.
Founders
Rheos Systems was founded by Sugan and Abdul with a shared aim: to make high-fidelity microsurgical training more accessible, practical, and reproducible.
Built from direct experience in surgical training and microsurgical education, Rheos was created to address the need for realistic, affordable, and scalable tools that support skills development across a range of models and training environments.
